KPIs Metrics and Measurements

Three levels of measurement: - KPI: a metric designated as a key indicator of performance, the critical few that drive success. - Metric: a named, calculated value combining measurements, often a ratio or rate.

  • KPI: a metric designated as a key indicator of performance, the critical few that drive success.
  • Metric: a named, calculated value combining measurements, often a ratio or rate.
  • Measurement: a timestamped record of an event, the raw data metrics are calculated from.

KPIs measure ongoing performance (Business-as-Usual); OKRs target specific change. Arrange them in Metric Trees and surface them on a KPI Scorecard.
