A UK PLC in the government sector, at a pivotal moment with new leadership and ambitious growth plans, used a ZOKRI transformation programme to convert an unclear strategy and weak accountability into a honed strategic narrative, a KPI tree, and resourced strategic OKRs.

Context

The organisation was at a pivotal moment, with new leadership and ambitious growth plans. Its core challenges were a lack of clear strategy and direction, limited team accountability, operational inefficiencies, a suboptimal go-to-market approach, and a real struggle to share resources between divisions.

What we did

Pre-workshop preparation optimised an in-person workshop, where we honed the strategic narrative and built a KPI tree and strategic OKRs, resourced with dedicated cross-functional teams. We launched to the wider organisation and supported alignment using KPIs and metrics, OKRs, and an experimentation and learning mindset. We trained OKR leads and champions, provided learning assets (slides, handbook, templates, guidance notes), and supported the organisation for two cycles.

Results

The programme delivered a clear strategic direction with measurable objectives; enhanced operational efficiency and accountability; optimised resource allocation across divisions; and improved go-to-market effectiveness. We have kept this account qualitative rather than attach numbers that were not measured, the structural change is the story here.

Why it worked

A new leadership team willing to commit to a single honed narrative, and to resource strategic OKRs with dedicated cross-functional teams, is what turned broad ambition into direction people could act on.
