Other characteristics of OKRs that make it different to other goal setting frameworks like KPI and SMART goals are:

Grouping: Objectives are paired with a group of Key Results, typically 1 - 4, that a numerical representations of the Objectives achievement. This allows goals to be described and measured in more complete and meaningful ways.

Difficulty: A numerical score of difficulty. These scores are typically 1 for the almost impossible ‘Moon Shot’, 0.7 for a goal that ‘Hard’ and a stretch, and 0.3 for a goal that’s achievable and would be considered ‘Business As Usual’.
